how to get rid of heavy smokers lines on my top lip?

Posted under removing deep lines by admin on Monday 1 March 2010

after smoking for x amount of yrs, in the last 6 months i have developed deep lines above my upper lip in the last 6 months, other then painful injections is there any other way to remove them with or without cosmetic surgery, laser surgery?

GA
no..they are deffo smoker lines lol, i been a smoker for 30 yrs but they have become more prominant over the last 6 months or so…other then that my skin is gorgeous :)

It takes longer than six months to develop deep lines, more like 20yrs. They’re probably little dryness lines. Get a good moisture mask for that area like Decleor’s and also buy Gale Hayman’s lip plump and use it all around the mouth along the lipline and the lines. It’s a wonder product packed with natural collagen and vitamins. Oh and stop smoking immediately.

When I started going to Cardinals games at the Old Old Busch Stadium (aka Sportman’s Park) in 1958 the center field bleachers had already been closed for a number of years and greenery put in. I don’t know if they wre the first and I don’t know when it became mandatory

Nite Acne Scar Removal – Astounding New Acne Treatment That Works!

Posted under removing deep lines by admin on Monday 22 February 2010

A scar left behind by an attack of acne can be with you for the rest of your life, but if you are lucky you will have treated te acne well in time to avoid scarring. However, many people are not so lucky so thank the stars for technology that now offers them a way to get rid of scars caused by acne. Though the medicinal creams and treatments are not too successful when it comes to removing scars there are ways that skin specialists and doctors are able to remove scars and reinstate the glow to teh skin with technology.

The advancements in technology have been astounding, especialy so with medical technology. Acni scar remocal through laser treatment is a developing procedure and is growing popular by the day. Nite Acne scar removal technology was introduced as late as in 2003. This is a technology that can permanently remove acne scars by as much as 100 percent.

The heat energy emmitted by the laser equipment is directed at the affected glands and helps tone down the excretion that is the cause of acne. Mostly a painless treatment, the Nite laser acne treatment is not meant for all acne patients. Some patents respond to acne laser treatment better than others. Though laser treatment effectively reoces acne scars it may not be 100% satisfactory for all acne patients, tough someone with lesser than 80% scar removal will rarely be found, if at all.

All acne scar removal laser sessions rarely last over an hour with the treatment requiring 4 sittings at 30 day intervals. This treatment kills the bactria present in te cells of te skin with te intense yellow light that penetrates deep within the skin cells and kills the infection. The treatment also can be used to treat the cells that are producing excess oils leading the the disorder called acne. Over 50% of acne affected skin was cured completely within three to six weeks of treatment with Nite acne scar removal technology. Such is the effectiveness of the treatment.

Nite Laser Treatment for acne removal is a dream come true for all those suffering from acne and the scars caused by the disorder. Being a very new treatment the cost is not as yet definite and is expected to stabilize very soon the world over once the technology is easily available everywhere and much more affordable too. In the mean time acne scar removal through the one and only means – laser treatment – can be expected to cost te sky. People with the money to try the treatment are ready to give it a try, such is the suffering many experience from acne infections. It may be early days yet say many skin experts, but there have been no adverse reports of this treatment, which is being compared to laser hair removal technology – it may well be along the same lines with the same after effects – skin irritation for a couple of weeks.

Does Wrinkle Filler Creams Work

Posted under removing deep lines by admin on Friday 19 February 2010

Most women don\’t mind getting older because is a natural process of life, but what they cant stand is getting wrinkles because it makes them look less attractive and older than they are.

Celebrities and famous people use many types of anti aging and skin care products to cover up their wrinkles and look younger.

But it is not just for celebrities you too can have a beautiful looking skin without the need of invasive treatments like face lifts or plastic surgery.

Wrinkle filler creams are becoming very popular and many people use them to cover up their wrinkles and thus look younger. However you have to be careful on what wrinkle creams you use, most women try many different products that don\’t work in hope to find the one that works well.

There are some effective anti wrinkle creams, but if you are going to use a wrinkle filler cream you have to know that you are not removing or reducing wrinkles from your skin, you are just covering them up for a very short while.

I have no problem in using a wrinkle filler cream as long as is made of just natural or organic ingredients that wont hurt the skin in any way, shape or form.

Most people don\’t give a second though about what ingredients does the cream include and that is wrong because many wrinkle filler creams use ingredients like alcohol to cover up wrinkles.

You should not use a cream with alcohol because it drys up your skin and thus it wrinkles your skin. So although the wrinkle filler cream might actually cover your fine lines, you are hurting your skin and in the long run your skin will show up more wrinkles.

Now, as a said before as long as the cream uses natural ingredients there should not be a problem, the dangers are when a cream contain chemicals and synthetic ingredients.

Some are collagen fillers and customers have actually shown positive quick results, but collagen will not penetrate your skin, that means that it is only on the surface of your skin and will be gone a short while later.

My recommendation is that if you want to use a filler cream, do it if it only contains natural and safe ingredients but also use an anti aging cream that will work deep in your skin to activate the natural production of collagen in your body.

Name a gothic band and/or singer you like.?

Posted under removing deep lines by admin on Wednesday 17 February 2010

My question is addressed to anyone and everyone who likes gothic music, whether they consider themselves goths or not.

Name a gothic band and/or singer you like, they/he/she can be your favorite, but not necessarily, preferably name one who is/are less known. For example, someone like Marilyn Manson is very well known (we may argue about his style being gothic or not, personally I think goth includes many styles, from romantic to electro and so on, and I consider him goth).

Describe what you like about them in details (let’s say at least a 2-4 lines paragraph). Also tell me which of their song is your favorite, with a link if possible so we can listen to the song. If you can’t find the song online, you can create a playlist easily here: http://www.playlist.com/, there is also many lyrics and videos here: http://www.lyricsmode.com/.

Mine is Lacrimosa. I think Tilo Wolff is very talented, has a deep and amazing voice, and is very good looking and fashionable. Anne Nurmi also has a beautiful voice (in a different way), is also very talented, and without her Lacrimosa wouldn’t be what it is, she completes Tilo perfectly. In my opinion their music could be described as generally "romantic" gothic, eventho it also includes heavy metal, gothic metal, etc. Here is a link to their song Alleine zu zweit (one of my favorites), with a video of the Wave Gothik Treffen (2007 I think): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkoLTuX8OBY&feature=channel_page. Hopefully it will still be there, youtube have been very busy removing sounds from videos lately.

I will not pick a best answer, I will let everyone vote and decide which answer/band they prefer. Hopefully while we vote some of us will get to know one (or more) great gothic band and/or singer we didn’t know before.

Good luck everyone!
Edited: Nice pics on the Dark Sanctuary video, I like :)
And on the Elis one too (I watched DS first lol)
Well I know I said I wouldn’t vote but it looks like you are the only ones who saw the question or were interested in answering, so I decided to go ahead and pick a best one. I listened to all the videos, all pretty good, and thanks for your answers!

I like Lacrimosa (and actually WT is one of my favorite bands but I think their first album was the extent of their "gothic-ness"). Uh let’s see.

I honestly think it’s a tie between Dark Sanctuary and Elis, and both bands are different. Elis is gothic metal, while Dark Sanctuary is.

DARK SANCTUARY:
I like them because they’re nice and atmospheric in a dark way. Technically they’re considered neoclassical darkwave, but I think they might be able to fall under the gothic tag. My favorite song by them is "Les Mémoires Blessées", a beautiful instrumental.

ELIS:
I just like them. Their old singer had a nice voice but she died before she was 30 because of a brain embolism. The new singer isn’t bad. My favorite song is "Come To Me", with Sabine (the old singer).

As you can see, I have a thang for keyboards. :)

Posted under removing deep lines by admin on Tuesday 16 February 2010

Restylane is the trade name of non-animal sourced hyaluronic acid, which is most commonly used for lip augmentation. Restylane has been approved by FDA in U.S to be used as cosmetic injection into sub dermal facial tissues. It is also used to restore volume and fullness to the skin and is injected under wrinkles and aging lines of the face such as the nasolabial folds, melomental folds, crow’s feet and forehead wrinkles. It may also be used for filling aging-related facial hollows under and around the eyes. More and more doctors and patients are buying Restylane for the facelift treatment.

Made from hyaluronic acid, it is a water acting substance and is already present in everyone’s skin. Our body’s hyaluronic acid attracts water in the skin, thus improving the texture, tone and overall health of the skin. One buys Restylane and gets this treatment to cure years of sun damage, air pollution and natural aging.

Restylane works much like inject able collagen, injected by a syringe into a wrinkled area of the face thus literally filling up the wrinkles that occur there. Collagen is injected superficially but Restylane is injected deep into the skin to have much better result. No serious side effects are known but minor ones can occur to some patients. Some minor side effects include inflammation, bruising, and swelling at the injection site, and bumpiness or lumpiness after injection. Some skin allergies can also be rarely found. Apart from nominal side effects and allergies one can easily buy Restylane and avail its treatment.

Restylane requires no pre-testing, since it is made from non-animal sourced but still patients should take few precautions before buying Restylane and being treated. Some of the precautions that is required before undergoing the treatment is that patients should avoid using aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, or high doses of Vitamin E supplements prior to treatment, because these may increase bruising or bleeding at the injection site. If patients have previously suffered from facial cold sores then there is a risk that the needles punctures could contribute to another recurrence.

Posted under removing deep lines by admin on Sunday 14 February 2010

It was by chance that I happened to pass by Baker Street. I had absolutely no intention to visit my ex-room mate Hemlock. It was a cold Sunday morning, and a bitter wind blew all day, making my thoughts equally bitter. Hemlock Jones had borrowed twenty shillings from me. Feeling an overpowering desire to get my money back, I stopped. I tried looking through the window for signs of life, but all was dark and I could not see any sign of Jones pacing in his study. I rang the bell and was shown up by Mrs. Hudson.
Hemlock was plucking his violin in a manner which suggested that he shared my mood. His face was pale and his cheeks were deep, almost hollow pits of darkness. He ushered me to an armchair beside him and suddenly threw his violin aside.
“It’s a most terrible to happen during your visit, Watson. Do you remember the Persian slipper?”
“Yes. It had your favorite Shag tobacco and you had brought it from a street hawker for ten pounds.”
“Well, you will be grieved to know that it has been stolen."
“Stolen?”
“Yes, dash it, Stolen! Now enough of this trifle! I think that I can safely deduce that you had been over a patient’s house.”
“How the deuce did you deduce that?”
“You have blood marks dotted over your vest which shows that you had visited a patient to conduct an operation. Besides, you are carrying your tool box, which you usually carry while visiting a patient.”
“It’s all so simple when you explain it!” I exclaimed, although I had carried the tool box to threaten him with my knife if he refused to pay.
“Besides that, I think this would interest you.” Jones said with a shy smile.
It was a sheet of the worst quality foolscap which could be ever found, torn in places and yellow with age. On it was written-

“Mr. Jones, tonight at exactly seven o clock, a man wearing a trench coat shall visit you. He might wear a mask, so please don’t think him to be a robber lunatic and listen to him. It is of the utmost importance. Please postpone any other cases that you have. You will be paid well. ”

“Well, Watson, I think our visitor is an eccentric one who cares for his friends. That’s why he’s telling us to bear with this man. He will send a messenger, who, undoubtedly, is the writer of this message himself. He has ink splattered on his forefinger which shows carelessness. Well, I think I hear the man on the stairs.”
I heard the thumping of footsteps on wood. A minute later a man emerged from the door. He was about seven feet tall, with the chest and limbs of a man who ate a good deal. He was a neat man who wore a black trench coat, black trousers and a pair of branded shoes.
His face was hidden behind a black mask. He was smoking a pipe.
“Today is an unusually cold day! The weather might give you an idea of my problem.” He paused to brush snowflakes off his coat.
“Someone was murdered.” replied the pessimist.
“Correct! And do you know who was murdered?”
I thought, how on earth would I know? I for one didn’t kill the man.
“My father was murdered by my wife!”
“What! Murder, Mystery and hysteria all in one! Pray let me have the details now!” snapped Hemlock.
“Well, the facts are these. My father was taking an evening stroll in the lawn. I was gazing at the sky. Suddenly I heard a most blood-curdling scream. On reaching the place from where the noise occurred, I found my wife and the dead body of my father. Irish was holding a bloody knife in her hand and was staring at me with her eyes dark as beads. How she could have committed such a crime had occurred I don’t know. There was no enmity between my wife and my father. He never objected to my choice of a wife or anything of that sort. I can-n-t do anything! Please tell me what to do!” he began to whimper.
“Calm down, man,” Jones said. “You are in a terrible dilemma! Watson! Come here! Pour brandy down his throat”
I hurriedly did as I was told to do. On removing his mask, I saw a terribly agitated face, with lines and other pale features. We waited for a few minutes while I kept pushing brandy down his throat. A while later Hemlock had revived the patient and asked him to leave as he was feeling very excited at the thought of solving a new case.

(NEXT MORNING)

“Get up, Watson! Get up!”
On opening my eyes, I saw the loathsome face of Hemlock Jones, almost insane with excitement. His breath smelled of tobacco. Just the thing you wanted on a Sunday morning.
“There is no need to dress up now Watson! We must immediately go to our noble friend’s hotel now. I have hailed a cab, so for god’s sake get up!”
“I just had an urgent phone call from Robert de Sable, our client.” Jones said as we sat in the cab. “He says that he is going somewhere.”
“Where’s he going?”
“How in the name of Shag tobacco would I know?” He said
“Well, I thought he would have told you over the phone.”
“My dear Watson, Even a complete dimwit like you can figure that out, can you not? Now we must prepare to get down, for Bingham is near.”
The cab screeched

welll, if its supposed to be like sherlock holmes, the characters are very dramatized with all the insulting. they don’t sound authentic.

Deep pores on my nose, please help?

Posted under removing deep lines by admin on Friday 12 February 2010

I have good skin everywhere apart from my nose, it’s like, probably not that noticable to other people but when I look at my face I’m always disgusted by the deep pores on my nose.

‘ve tried everything from Biore Nose Strips to Steaming my face and using an exfoliant! I just can’t seem to get rid of these deep pores on my nose.

They are small but like, vast in number, it seems to me that the Nose Strips can’t ‘reach’ deep enough to latch onto the blackheads, and the exfoliant can’t get ‘inside’ the ‘hole’ to reach the blackheads either. There’s one large one which makes it look like I have had my nose pierced! :(

Are there any other methods I could try to either ‘fill’ in the deep almost ‘craters’ that these blackheads are inside, or to remove the blackhead from deep within enough for the ‘crater’ to heal? Thanks so much!

This is what it’s like:
__—-__
—-\o/

Ignore the dotty lines it was like, the only way to draw the diagram properly!

See how like, the blackhead is deeeep within the crater, not actually at the top of it enough for the exfoliant or the nose strip to reach it. It’s almost like some skin has grown over the top of them which makes it impossible for the exfoliant or nose strip to reach!

Oh my god, please help! :(

you should try the clean and clean blackhead eraser.. i use one and i absolutely LOVE it!! it makes my nose feel so smooth and its really makes a difference to the sight, i mean i dnt think there is anything that will completely get rid of your pore problem, but i really think you’ll like this product
